Coming up in a poor county in Ky, I've seen a lot of ingenuity. This little handmade live trap really pulls at my heartstrings. What we couldn't afford to buy, we made. Just like whomever put this little trap together. It works like a traditional live trap, it has a spring loaded door held up by a bar (see photo #3), which is then attached to a pressure plate. You put your bait in on the end, set your trap. Live traps were used by us on our farm to relocate problem pests to somewhere else. I got to get up close and personal with some interesting critters, everything from mice to flying squirrels. I imagine this guy has a history such the same. It was made, and even been repaired a few times, so someone used this for many years, and wether you want to use it as decor, or just to add to you collection of traps, its all around amazing! Measures 15 inches long, 3.5 inches wide, and 4 inches tall.
